Hi Will and welcome to SEL

From what I read in what you are looking for in a club, think SEL will fit you for sure with all all the different competition options that are on offer here

You don't have to play them all, you find out which you like partaking in and concentrate on those

A few players here play in the Clash games, but nobody is forced to

Proboards is where all the SEL info you need to know will be posted, Discord is more a social area but again, you are not forced to use it, but maybe you could give it a go sometime and just see if there is anything of interest for you there

Some of the people here will be pointing you in the right direction to start off with

Can only say everyone here is friendly, regardless of what level they play at and all are more than happy to help others out with tips and with social play

Look forward to seeing you on a tee sometime soon

Hi everyone,

I popped my head in a short while ago looking to see what you offered. At the time, I didn't think I could commit to the large volume of games you have available, so I didn't join up. However, I haven't managed to find a suitable alternative to SEL. If the owner and directors don't mind me just signing up for a few of the competitions (although I do still play every day), I'd like to take the plunge and join you fine people!. I look forward to any comments made.

Hi Kevin, you are more than welcome to join, and like i've mentioned before, you don't need to play everything SEL has to offer..

The last weeks fixtures on the current tour we are on has just got under way, then after that we have a weeks break (they'll still be some fun tournaments to play that week) then we move straight into the Summer Tour starting on July 3rd.

So in the Summer Tour you could play:

League & Cups

7 x 9 holes fixtures per week lasting 4 weeks (if you play everyday then 1 x 9 hole game should be no problem)

OOM

7 fixtures per week (mainly 9 holes with a few 18 hole games) 

CTTH

1 x 9 hole game every 48 hours

MAJOR

1 per tour - 4 x 18 hole games (7 days duration per round)

These are the main tournaments on the tour, and you don't have to play all, you could just play the leagues, or the OOM, or the CTTH really, but we do encourage members to play at least one of the above.. there are other games too, but the above is what SEL bases itself around. A lot more information will be given to you if and when you do join up.. 

It's probably a great time to join really, as you could just have a really good look around at what goes on, pay close attention to the last weeks fixtures on this tour, then by the time the Summer Tour starts, you'll be fully up to speed on what exactly is on offer, and i'm sure you'll like it.

Thanks Jess, sounds like I've picked a good time to join .... a short while to get used to the workings of the club and then getting stuck into some of the competitions. I've just finished writing to one of the directors of my present CC, explaining why I want to leave, and wishing them good luck for the future. I am now a free agent, so I have applied for membership to join your happy band at SEL

Just go out there and enjoy mate, You have seen the rest but have joined the best, End of, So much work goes into this CC you would not believe, As other post bud just enjoy and try not to withdraw from any SEL game...

I was a member here years ago and am now getting back into the game after like 4 years.
I really enjoyed the time I spent here then and would truly love to see how the program is after such an absence.
